Our allies
Networks & coalitions
In the fight against multinationals’ corporate impunity, ReAct Transnational seels out alliances with other associations, trade unions, and academics worldwide. These first of all include informal and organized social networks, workers’ and citizens associations and unions. Our commitment to networks and collectives:
- Stop Impunity: A campaign for an end to state/corporate arbitration tribunals, which allow multinationals to sue states if they infringe on their private interests.
- On Ne Se Taira Pas: A collective that aims to increase public debate around frivolous 'gag’ lawsuits, without a legal base. Their only purpose is to intimidate and gag critics. By threatening journalists and academics, these tactics undermine democracy itself. Just as influential economic actors have filed gag suits against us, they have used this weapon against University professors, NGOs, lawyers, journalists, bloggers, and whistleblowers. All have all been falsely accused of crimes when what they did was expose violations of human and environmental rights.
- Rethinking Value Chains: This collective of nearly 40 civil society organizations and academic experts is located in France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. Rethinking Value Chains is working on issues of value distribution in production chains, regulation of multinational companies, and economic alternatives.
- Progressive International: A global network of about 100 organizations of the internationalist left.
- Altersummit: A network that brings together European forces that are carrying out a dynamic of democratic re-foundation of a social, ecological and feminist Europe.
- L.A Coalition: Coalition of associations and researchers in France on the shrinking of democratic space, in particular the repression of public authorities towards associations.
